Murrindindi Shire Council: Employment Positions Online
|
Employment conditions for employees of Murrindindi Shire Council are governed by the Local Authorities Award 2001 and our Enterprise Bargaining Agreement (EBA).
An EBA is an agreement between management and unions about employment conditions that are not contained in the award. The process of reaching an agreement involves a series of meetings between representatives of management and staff where issues about pay and conditions are discussed. The acceptance of the agreement is then put to a vote of all staff, to ensure the majority are happy with the agreement. In our case, it is then sent to the Industrial Relations Commission for certification (there are different types of agreement that go to different authorities for certification).
Changes to the Murrindindi Shire Council EBA No. 5 were certified by the Commission in February 2009.
