It has been some time in the making, but the Marysville Information and Regional Arts (MIRA) Centre is set to open its doors to the public today, Monday 6 August, at 9am.

Murrindindi Shire Council Deputy Mayor and Cathedral Ward Councillor Sandice McAulay said Council was pleased to have contributed to the development of this fantastic facility.

“Community discussions and planning for this Project have been underway since 2009. Council began working with stakeholders to support the development in 2014,” Cr McAulay said.

“It was essential for the community to refine its vision for the facility as well as fine-tune the sustainability of its operation into the future.

“We can’t wait to see how the community uses the MIRA and look forward to it becoming a mainstay attraction for both locals and visitors alike in Marysville,” Cr McAulay added.
