Council's home care service offers assistance with daily household tasks. Escorted shopping is available to assist you to shop independently. Other assistance includes:    

• Essential cleaning of main living areas 
• Meal preparation
• Shopping
• Banking
• Small errands and bill payments

Council's personal care service will assist you with everyday tasks such as:

• Showering and bathing
• Dressing and grooming
• Toileting
• General mobility
• Assistance with eating, drinking, cooking and food preparation
• Transportation to medical and other related services 

Home Maintenance

This service provides general maintenance and repairs to your home, garden or yard.  Maintenance staff focus on providing a safe environment and do not perform major electrical or plumbing work.                                                                                  

Home maintenance activities may include: 

• Minor repairs to house or furniture
• Changing light bulbs where a ladder is required
• Installing safety rails, ramps or steps
• Extending steps for walking frames
• Fitting smoke detectors and changing batteries
• Cleaning guttering
• Rubbish removal to the tip
• Choping and stacking firewood
• Safety mowing for bushfire prevention 

Meals on Wheels

A service which delivers hot meals is offered in Alexandra, Eildon and Yea between 12 noon and 1.30 pm on weekdays.

The service delivers frozen meals to Marysville, Kinglake and the Highlands.
