In response to the February 2009 bushfires, the Victorian Government has been supplying residents in the Murrindindi area with emergency water tank cleaning and once-off emergency water delivery.
The Department of Human Services have compiled a list of the most common queries residents have in relation to water tanks in light of the recent bushfires. Also available is information and advice for residents who have water tanks in fire affected areas. To download these documents, click on the links below:

The Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) and Department of Human Services (DHS) are conducting air quality monitoring in public areas of bushfire affected areas in response to community concerns about air quality, in particular with regard to asbestos. All results to date have been below the limit of detection.
