Family Day Care Educators

Ongoing Applications

Are you passionate about working with children? Do you want to play an important role in their development, while running your own business, from your own home? Have you considered joining the Murrindindi Family Day Care service as a Family Day Care Educator? It's an excellent option for people who want a rewarding and flexible career.

We have start up incentive packages of up to $2500 to help you start up your FDC business if you’re in Murrindindi Shire.

Murrindindi Family Day Care has been providing care to families in our Shire for the past 30 years. We currently employ 13 educators, who take pride in delivering services to families and supporting the development and learning of children. Educators would be expected to care for a maximum of 4 children under 4 at any one time.

We are currently looking to engage Family Day Care Educators to provide an important service to our communities.

Ideally, you'll have experience in childhood education and hold a Certificate III in Children’s Services (or be enrolled and studying an approved course) or if you’re willing to study, we can get you started, subject to working with children, police and various safety checks.

There are a range of obvious benefits in becoming an Educator, including being your own boss, the ability to look after your own child while looking after other children, flexible work days and hours, 24/7 support from Council, and opportunities for career development and training.

You will be working from your own home. You can choose your own days/hours (but being flexible with hours and days will mean you will service our families better) with a minimum of 20 hours per week.

To find out more about becoming an Educator, please call Council's Family Day Care Coordinator Lara Taylor on (03) 5772 0333. Come and join our friendly professional team and play a huge part in the education and care of children in our community.
