Murrindindi Shire Council is offering a position for a Project Lead Digital Futures. This role is focused on advancing the organisation’s systems and contributing to the Council’s strategic digital plans. The Project Lead will assess and implement best practice digital solutions in consultation with key stakeholders, while embedding customer-first principles throughout the organisation.

About this opportunity

In the position of Project Lead for Digital Futures, you will play a crucial role in strategically guiding various projects aligned with the ICT Strategy and Roadmap for Murrindindi Shire Council. Your primary responsibility will involve collaborating closely with service owners to conduct comprehensive process mapping exercises. These exercises aim to ensure that all internal processes not only adhere to best practices but also effectively support the council's strategic principles and objectives. By leveraging your expertise, you will help enhance operational efficiency, improve service delivery, and foster innovation within the council, ultimately contributing to the community's digital transformation and enhanced public engagement.

What you will bring

  • Relevant qualifications (desirable) and demonstrated experience (4 +years) with an emphasis on digital services and information technology
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills and ability to produce quality, appropriate content, relating to project management, procedures and policies.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and experience with digital integration of different systems and the ability to build patches and bridges to overcome gaps
  • Demonstrated experience and competence as a trainer, preferably within the IT field
  • The ability to work effectively in a team and independently
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver quality customer service to internal customers, to propose and contribute strongly to service improvements and adapt to change
