Smiths Bridge works complete

In August, major repairs and upgrades were completed on Smiths Bridge, Johnsons Creek Road, Maintongoon.

The project upgraded the bridge with:

  • New steel piles to support the aged footings
  • Precast concrete deck to replace the old timber decking
  • Increased load capacity to withstand T44 (44 tonne truck) loading

Please note, Johnsons Creek Road Bridge (also on Johnsons Creek Road, Maintongoon) has not been upgraded, so the load capacity for the road remains unchanged.
