Council would like to share that applications for the Public Office Victoria 2024 Creative in Residence Program are now open.

The Creative in Residence Program is an opportunity to explore the state’s rich public archival resources with personal assistance from the host of the program Public Record Office Victoria (State Archives Victoria).

You’ll be provided with a dedicated workspace at the Centre to view records, a professional fee of $15,000 plus a budget of up to $10,000 for resources. The residency takes place at the Victorian Archives Centre in North Melbourne during 2024 and requires an expected time commitment equal to roughly 3 months.

Applications can be submitted by artists, musicians, creative writers, performers, photographers or creative collectives, up until 31 October 2023.

For full details about the program, and upcoming information sessions on 21 and 22 September, see the Public Record Office Victoria website.
