New way to communicate with Council

Community members can now report issues and provide feedback to Murrindindi Shire Council at the click of a button through the ‘Snap Send Solve’ phone app.

Murrindindi Shire Council Corporate and Customer Services Portfolio Councillor Leigh Dunscombe said locals and visitors to the Shire can report on a tremendous range of issues - from graffiti through to stray animals, litter, parking and everything in between.

“As well as giving people a quick and easy way to report an issue to us, Murrindindi Shire Council’s listing on ‘Snap Send Solve’ can provide contact advice for emergency situations, Cr Dunscombe said.

“For example, if you’re driving around somewhere in the Shire and you come across stock on the road, you could ‘snap’ and ‘send’ it to Council through the app. Plus, the app will also give you the phone number of the Council Community Safety Officer on duty, enabling you to report the dangerous situation directly as well.

“Anyone with a compatible mobile device can use ‘Snap Send Solve’. It’s as easy as taking a photo, confirming your location on the map, adding a few words to describe the problem, identifying yourself and hitting ‘send’.

“Council is very focused on improving its customer service processes and responsiveness to customer needs and expectations. This app is not only a great step forward for us in terms of online customer service options, but a chance for us to start having more conversations with more people more often,” Cr Dunscombe said.
