Strong links were established with a number of organisations including Department of Human Services, Beyond Blue, Mensline and Andrology Australia. The Kinglake Ranges Men’s Shed is a member of the Australian Men’s Shed Association, Victorian Men’s Shed Association and Men’s Sheds Australia. The Shed has since established a functional meeting place for local men offering a range of programs both formal and informal from health and wellbeing to specific educational workshops. It gives access to a variety of tools, is engaged in a variety of education and training activities, and opportunities for celebrating and showcasing programs and products developed. Members are offered opportunities to participate in a range of volunteering activities, up skilling those involved and enhancing community connectedness.

Most importantly The Shed provides information to men of all ages on services, programs and in so doing facilitates social interaction between individuals and groups, enabling participants to become aware of community services and be better skilled to access these services.
