We’re working hard to deliver bins to residents who requested them after the 15 May deadline. Due to high national demand and limited bin manufacturers, delays are being experienced across Australia. If you requested your bin before 15 May, it should arrive soon. If you requested after, it may take a few more weeks.

This year’s theme, 'Bridging Now to Next', invites us to honour the journey of reconciliation. One that honours the past, embraces the present and builds for the future.
Inspired by the resilient native plants featured in this year’s artwork by Kalkadoon woman Bree Buttenshaw, we are reminded of the strength found in adversity and the possibilities of renewal.
At Council, we’re marking the week with a range of activities to reflect, learn and act. These include a staff low-key Lunch and Learn session featuring 'Going Places with Ernie Dingo' highlighting Aboriginal-led education and a discussion facilitated by Mayor Damien Gallagher as well as participation in the wawa dharrang Cultural Immersion Experience.
We're proud to support activities like boomerang painting at Yea Library. Drop in anytime during NRW to decorate your own boomerang and pick a book from our First Nations display to take home. No bookings needed and everything you need is provided.
Let’s continue our journey of reconciliation, grounded in truth, strengthened by respect and guided by connection.
