Since June, we’ve been working with the Yea community to plan how the Boundary Creek area can best be used for recreation, health, the environment and wider community benefit.

Your ideas have helped shape the draft Boundary Creek Open Space Plan (BCCP), a roadmap to guide how the area can be managed and improved.

In the first round of consultation, we held drop-in sessions and an online survey to hear your thoughts.

Here’s what we heard:

  • a space to connect – a passive recreation and gathering area with informal seating, picnic tables and nature-based play
  • better access – safe, convenient links between Yea Springs Estate and the town centre, with emergency access included
  • nature-inspired play – playful elements like carved native animals, mudstone rocks, step-up logs and seats with backrests

Now it’s time to have your say on the draft Plan before it is finalised by Council.

Feedback closes Sunday 7 September.
