Have you shared your thoughts on Council’s draft Urban Tree Strategy?
This 10-year plan will guide how we protect and grow our urban forest to boost canopy cover, biodiversity and community wellbeing as our towns face climate and development pressures.
The Strategy aims to:
increase canopy cover in township public areas to 40%
fill vacant street tree sites and diversify tree species
embed sustainable tree management into all Council projects.
Feedback closes Monday 13 October 2025, before the final Strategy goes to Council in November.
