Strath Creek LEAP Community Dinner

Strath Creek Hall

Help shape a stronger, safer and more resilient Strath Creek.

A Local Emergency Action Plan (LEAP) supports communities to strengthen their resilience to the impacts of emergencies like fires, floods, and storms.

We are calling community members in the Strath Creek area to join us for a FREE Community Lunch to develop a LEAP for your area.

Register by Saturday 18 October so we can cater for everyone.

Why LEAP matters to you?
  • We’ve been through numerous fires, floods, storms, and other emergencies over the years. We know emergencies happen.
  • LEAP supports communities to better prepare and look after themselves for up to 72 hours after an emergency.
What might you get from LEAP?
  • Have a say in shaping YOUR Local Emergency Action Plan to build community resilience in emergency management.
  • Connect with your neighbours, community groups, and local emergency services.
  • Explore ways to bring your ideas to life with support from others.
  • Participate in workshops to build your skills to help your community with becoming a more resilient community.
This community conversation is part of the LEAPing into Resilience project, a joint initiative between Mansfield and Murrindindi Shire Councils and is funded by the Victorian Government’s Safer Together program.
