Buying, selling or giving away pets

From 1 July 2019, any person or business advertising, to sell or give away, a dog or cat will need to be ‘enrolled’ on the Pet Exchange Register.

Murrindindi Shire council hires cat cages to assist property owners in trapping feral and nuisance cats.

Please note that Murrindindi Shire Council only collect cats trapped in Murrindindi Shire Council traps. For OH&S reasons along with the welfare of the trapped cat we do not collect cats trapped in private traps.
