Council's Alexandra office operates as a sub agency for VicRoads and offers the following services:

Renewal of driver, boat and firearm licences

Bring your VicRoads renewal form and current licence or photo ID. Payment can be made by cash, EFTPOS, VISA or MasterCard or Cheque made payable to Murrindindi Shire Council. To renew your licence, you will be required to have a new photo taken. There is no extra charge for this service.

Learner permit tests - No longer available from the Alexandra Council Office

Testing for your Learner's Permit is now available online instead, please visit the Learner Permit Test Online page on the VicRoads website.

If you complete your Learners Permit online, you will need to visit a Registered VicRoads Office to have your photo taken and complete the Evidence of Identity. The nearest Registered VicRoads Office is in Seymour.

Surrendered number plates

A receipt will be issued on the return of any unwanted number plates. If the vehicle registration has an unexpired portion, you may be entitled to a refund from VicRoads.  

Log Books

 A log book can only be issued to the intended user and not on their behalf. You will be asked to present a current drivers licence.

*Note unregistered vehicle permits, boat licence testing and vehicle registration renewals are not offered at the Alexandra Office.
