Murrindindi Shire 2025 Community Award recipients

The 2025 Community Award winners were officially announced at a special volunteer appreciation event in Yea on Saturday 17 May. More than 120 volunteers and representatives from volunteer-led groups across the Shire gathered to celebrate the spirit of volunteering and recognise this year’s nominees.

Tender awarded for Snobs Creek Road landslip works

Murrindindi Shire Council has awarded a tender for repair works on a significant landslip site on Snobs Creek Road, Eildon. The total contract value is $494,363.72, subject to funding approval from the State’s Department of Transport and Planning through the Commonwealth and Victorian government’s Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).

Wandering stock found in Kinglake area

A white and black Suffolk ram has been found wandering the Kinglake area. It is untagged and has no identification. Please help us reunite it with its owner. If the ram is not re-claimed (with evidence) within 7 days, it will be put up for sale.

Beyond the Beats a resounding success

Murrindindi Shire Council congratulates the young organisers and performers who brought the Beyond the Beats event to life in Eildon on Sunday 13 April. The afternoon featured five local artists and drew a crowd of 55 attendees from across the Shire and surrounding areas.

Tree maintenance works in Yea next week
