Bushfire Info Hubs

If you have been impacted by the January 2026 bushfires, please register at a Bushfire Information Hub or contact us on (03) 5772 0333.

A variety of services with information about payments and support you may be eligible for is available at the Bushfire Info Hubs - located at Yea and Alexandra libraries - which are open as usual.

Council staff are available to help community navigate their relief and recovery needs and a variety of other agencies are also available at the libraries throughout the day.

Alexandra Bushfire Information Hub – Alexandra Library

  • Council recovery and relief staff are available from 10.00 am - 3.00 pm (except Sunday)
  • Staff from the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing - VIC (DFFH) are on-site Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 February and can assist with relief payments and financial support for people who have been evacuated or directly impacted.

Yea Bushfire Information Hub – Yea Library and Customer Service Centre

  • Council recovery and relief staff are available from 10.00 am - 3.00 pm (except Sunday)
  • Services Australia are onsite Monday 2 and Tuesday 3 February.
  • Department of Families, Fairness and Housing - VIC (DFFH) are on-site Tuesday 3 and Wednesday 4 February and can assist with relief payments and financial support for people who have been evacuated or directly impacted.
  • Commonwealth Bank Australia mobile hub available Monday 2 to Friday 6 February.
  • ARC Justice Legal is available on-site Friday 6 February.

Representatives from The Salvation Army - Victoria, VCC Emergencies Ministry, and Agriculture Victoriaare traveling across our sites to assist anyone who may need their support.

The following locations are also hosting Council staff and visiting agencies:

Alexandra Shire Hall

Open between 10.00 am to 3.00 pm from Monday 2 to Friday 6 February

  • Insurance including Suncorp, AAMI, GIO and Shannons Monday to Friday, and Saturday from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm
  • ARC Justice Legal will be on-site Thursday 5 February 

Fawcett Hall - 4 February 2026

  • Council staff will be on-site Wednesday 4 February from 9.00 am to 12 noon.

Highlands - 5 February

  • Council staff will be on-site Thursday 5 February from 9.00 am to 12 noon.

Terip Terip - 5 February

  • Council staff will be on-site Thursday 5 February from 1.00 - 4.00 pm.

Yea Saleyards - 6 February

  • Agriculture Victoria will be on-site Friday 6 February during the sale from 9.30 am
  • Free skin checks and mental health support
