Council is committed to supporting the farming and business communities following the January 2026 bushfires to recover and rebuild. There are helpful resources and services currently available, and we will continue to update this page as more information becomes available.
Farming and Agriculture
Report livestock and property impact, including urgent animal welfare needs by calling 1800 226 226.
You can also report any dead or injured animals, crop loss or damage, or fodder and water need online via the Loss and Damage Online Assessment Form.
If you are a farmer or primary producer and your fencing has been impacted, Blaze Aid are taking registrations for assistance and will be at the Alexandra Showgrounds from Sunday 25 January.
This fencing initiative is jointly supported by local community groups and organisations.

Step 3: Speak to your insurer before doing or authorising any works.
Step 4: Before you start your clean-up take photos or videos of damage.
