Beyond the Business - Supporting the Supporter
Helping frontline staff care for themselves and community.
About the Program
Frontline business staff are often the first point of contact for community members sharing difficult or distressing experiences connected to the January bushfire event.
To help staff feel more confident and supported in these conversations, Council and partner organisations are hosting a practical information session in Yea and Alexandra.
The session will feature a guest speaker from the mental health sector with lived experience, along with local mental health care service providers who will share simple strategies for responding with care, understanding of referral pathways, connecting community members with support, and looking after your own wellbeing.
This event is designed to equip frontline staff with the tools, resources and confidence to support both the community and themselves.
