Murrindindi Library Service makes it easy to start or join a book group with free support, resources and access to a diverse collection of titles.
Book groups are for everyone. Whether you love reading every day or are simply looking for a new way to connect with others, starting a book group is a great way to build friendships, support wellbeing and enjoy meaningful conversations.
Our library service offers free book group support, including access to multiple copies of a wide range of titles and resources to help your group get started and keep the conversation going.
You do not need to be a library member to start a group, but joining opens the door to even more books, programs and community opportunities, and it's free!

Our Home Library Service helps eligible Murrindindi residents enjoy library items from home.

Who can use the service?
This service supports residents who may find it difficult to access a library branch due to various reasons
If you are unsure whether you’re eligible, please submit an enquiry and our team will be happy to assist.
How does it work?
Complete an expression of interest form and a staff member will contact you to discuss eligibility and the service.
If there’s anything else you’d like to share before we get in touch, please include it in your enquiry.
If you are approved for the service, library staff will select items based on your reading and viewing preferences.
A registered Council volunteer then delivers the items to your home and collects your previous loans for return to the library.
If there is no volunteer driver, we will let you know and prioritise finding one for you.
Volunteer drivers
This service relies on volunteer drivers.
If a volunteer driver is not currently available in your area, we will work to recruit one as soon as possible.
Interested in volunteering? We welcome enquiries from people who would like to support their community by becoming a volunteer driver.
