Join us for Council’s R U OK? Day community film event, where we come together to share stories, enjoy some food and explore how simple conversations can make a big difference to mental wellbeing. Attendees to either showing can enjoy a BBQ at 5.00 pm, courtesy of Alexandra Events.
There is also a matinee showing at 2.00 pm.
Free Community BBQ
Local community groups who understand the power of connection have generously donated their time to cook a BBQ, so come along an hour early and enjoy a sausage in bread before the evening begins.
About the film
Runt (2024), based on Craig Silvey’s much-loved novel, is a family film about Annie Shearer and her clever dog, Runt, as they chase a dream to save their farm. It’s a hopeful story of courage, community and the bonds that bring people together.
