Your Website Made Simple: SEO, Content and What Matters (with a Sprinkle of AI) is a practical, plain‑English workshop designed to take the stress and confusion out of managing a website. Led by Sam Hicks, this session focuses on what actually matters when it comes to being found online, building trust, and making your website work for your goals—without getting lost in technical detail.

Participants will learn the essentials of search engine optimisation (SEO), how to create clear and useful website content, and what Google (and visitors) are really looking for. It also introduces GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) the emerging way content is being picked up by AI-powered search tools and what that means in simple, practical terms for small businesses.

With a light introduction to using AI as a helpful assistant, the session also explores how tools like AI can support content ideas, improve clarity and save time—without replacing your voice or values. By the end, participants will feel more confident managing their website, making informed updates, and focusing their effort where it counts.

Who Should Attend: We welcome community members from all organisations and backgrounds to participate in this event. Whether you are a business owner, volunteer, or simply someone looking to make a positive impact online, this event is for you.
