Council service disruptions due to fire event

Council services have all been cancelled or postponed until further notice due to the fire event.

For the safety of our staff and community, the following services are closed:

  • Kerbside Bin Collection is postponed until conditions improve.
  • All Resource Recovery Centres and Landfill will be closed.
  • All Libraries will be closed.
  • Customer Service will be operating remotely, only accessible by phone, email and online. Depending on staff availability, we may transition to our after-hours call service.
  • All Swimming pools are closed.
  • Our Mobile Library will not be operating.
  • Maternal and Child Health Services have been rescheduled.
  • Yea Wetlands Discovery Centre is closed.
  • Yea Saleyards will be closed. 

As of publication, there are Emergency Relief Centres (ERCs) open in Seymour and Mansfield. Please note, this information should always be checked through official sources before travelling, and if you have received a Take Shelter warning, you should not be travelling at all.

Council is working closely with emergency services and partner agencies and will share updates as appropriate.
