Ford Crossing Closed on Spring Creek Road, Fawcett

The ford crossing on Spring Creek Road, Fawcett, is currently closed due to flooding and is impassable to traffic.

Victoria Police are on site and Murrindindi Shire Council crews have installed road closure signage to ensure community safety.

The remainder of Spring Creek Road remains open; however, motorists must make alternative arrangements as access through the crossing is not possible.

Council is unable to assess the extent of any damage until water levels subside. The crossing is expected to remain closed for at least the next few days, subject to weather conditions.

Residents and visitors are reminded:

• Never drive through floodwaters.
• Obey all road closure signs and directions from emergency services.
• Drive to the conditions and allow extra time for travel.
