Local businesses are advised that the first stage of the Eildon Key Worker Housing project is nearing completion, with the first six new houses expected to be available for rent from July–August 2026.

These houses represent an important milestone in Council’s delivery of purpose-built accommodation to support local employers to attract and retain staff, particularly in a tight rental market.

First Stage – Houses coming to market

The initial release includes six modern, self‑contained houses, currently under construction:

  • Four three‑bedroom houses
  • Two two‑bedroom houses

On‑site information session – May

To support businesses and workers to better understand the accommodation offering, Council will host an on‑site tour in May.

The session will provide an opportunity to:

  • View the houses in person
  • Understand how the rental model will operate
  • Discuss suitability for different workforce needs

Further details about the site visit will be shared soon.

Expression of Interest now open

At this stage, Council is seeking an indicative Expression of Interest from businesses and/or staff who may wish to rent one of the houses once they become available.

Registering interest now will assist Council with:

  • Planning allocations
  • Confirming demand
  • Finalising next steps as the project approaches completion
