You’re invited: Supporting our community after the January bushfires

As frontline staff, you are often the first person community members turn to when sharing difficult or distressing experiences connected to the January bushfire event.

Join Council and partner organisations for a practical information session designed to help you feel more confident, supported and equipped in these conversations. You’ll hear from a guest speaker from the mental health sector with lived experience, as well as local mental health care service providers. 

Speakers will be discussing - how to:

• respond with care and confidence,
• understand local referral pathways,
• connect community members with the right support, and
• look after your own wellbeing while supporting others.

If you work in a frontline or community-facing role, this session is for you. Come along to gain practical tools, useful resources and reassurance that you are not alone in supporting our community’s recovery.
