Have you ever stopped to listen to the birds in your backyard or local park? Birds are more than just a pleasant background to our lives, they are vital messengers of environmental change. Their songs, movements, and even their silences reveal important clues about the health of our ecosystems.

Join us for an engaging webinar where we dive into the fascinating world of birds and discover how we can all contribute to protecting them.

Join online or at Alexandra Council Chambers, Kinglake Library or Yea Wetlands Discovery Centre to share the broadcast in the company of others and learn to use the app for the Great Aussie Bird Count.

Dr. Grainne Cleary will present “What Are Birds Telling Us?”, a 45-minute talk exploring how bird behaviour reflects the state of our environment, followed by an interactive Q&A session.

A council officer, Sue McNair, will introduce the Aussie Bird Count, a fun, simple way for anyone to become a citizen scientist by observing birds in your local area and contributing to national conservation efforts.

Whether you're a seasoned birdwatcher or just starting out, your observations matter.

Come along, get inspired, and help give our feathered friends a voice!
