Michael Cincotta is an ecologist and passionate field naturalist with over 30 years of experience in biodiversity conservation. His career spans roles such as Nursery Coordinator for an indigenous nursery, Biodiversity Coordinator at a wildlife sanctuary, and Senior Ecologist for several leading ecological consultancies.
Michael is a seasoned educator, having presented at Conferences and delivered workshops for local councils, Greening Australia, La Trobe University, The Australian Plant Society and various NGOs on topics including plant identification, threatened species management, habitat restoration, wetland creation, propagation techniques, and citizen science tools like iNaturalist.
For the past four years, he has proudly coordinated the Great Southern Bioblitz – Nangak Tamboree Project and City Nature Challenge, helping communities connect with nature and contribute to global biodiversity data.
