Aged Care Hub at Alexandra Library

Next date: Saturday, 08 November 2025 | 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM

Funded by the Australian Government under the new Aged Care Act, the Hub offers a chance to learn more about upcoming changes to aged care services and provide feedback on what matters most to you.

The new Aged Care Act, starting from 1 November 2025, will put the rights and needs of older people first. It will improve how services are delivered in homes, communities and aged care homes, and introduce new funding arrangements to better support quality care.

Come along to hear special guest Sue Hendy speak with us about ageing, some strategies for navigating transitions and empowerment about rights – especially for those who might be feeling pressure and possibly feeling their lives moving outside of their own control.

Sue is Director, International Federation on Ageing, Co-Chair, 'Human Rights as We Age' Network, Director, Doutta Galla Aged Services and Vice President, Tri Active Life.  It is sure to be an informative and interesting presentation. Murrindindi Shire Council Access and Inclusion officer Andrew Langley will also be in attendance, and can help connect you to services if required.

Book for this session and find more events on Spydus.

The Hub will be hosting discussions and talks throughout November.
