We’re working hard to deliver bins to residents who requested them after the 15 May deadline. Due to high national demand and limited bin manufacturers, delays are being experienced across Australia. If you requested your bin before 15 May, it should arrive soon. If you requested after, it may take a few more weeks.

• We have just over 30 members, most actively working on their own personal projects, socializing with others, learning new skills and working on community projects. Members share their expertise with others, and many have also found the time to contribute to other activities which benefit everyone.
• A recent project has been the milling and stacking of timber salvaged from the removal of trees from Murchison Street. After the timber has sufficiently dried, it will be used for Community projects around town.
• There have been social and educational visits to other regional Men’s Sheds, Alexandra and Seymour, as well as attendance at the Annual Victorian Men’s Shed Association conference.
• We have held training sessions for those wanting more experience with various tools and equipment, e.g. knife sharpening and chain saw operation. Welding and cooking classes will happen soon.
• Other activities include monthly social BBQ’s at the Shed for members and their guests; maintenance work on machinery, grounds and the building itself; Sausage Sizzle stall at the monthly Community Market; volunteering at big events in town - the Winter Fest in June, and the Marathon and Giro della Donna in November.
