Council’s arborist has identified 14 Liquid Amber trees along Nihil Street, between Grant Street and Albert Street, for removal. These trees have outgrown the site and are not suitable beneath powerlines.

To improve safety and the streetscape, the trees will be replaced and additional planting will take place, including 30 Chinese Pistachio trees suited to areas beneath powerlines, and 30 Liquid Amber trees planted in suitable locations away from powerlines.

Works are scheduled from late April to mid to late June 2026. During this time, residents may notice short term contractor activity and minor disruptions within work zones. Property access will be maintained at all times.
