Murrindindi Shire Council is undertaking essential flood‑recovery works on Falls Road, Strath Creek. The works will clear debris from culverts near Philbeys Bridge and repair drainage structures and pavement sections damaged during the October 2022 floods.
From Thursday 24 July to Friday 1 August weather permitting, Council contractors will be carrying out important flood recovery works along Falls Road, Strath Creek.
The works include clearing debris from culverts near Philbeys Bridge and repairing sections of the roadway damaged in the October 2022 floods. They will start near Philbeys Bridge and finish around 800 metres from Broadford-Flowerdale Road. There will be speed restrictions along short sections of the road, but no road closures or detours required. Minor traffic delays are expected at the northern end near Broadford-Flowerdale Road between 29 to 31 July. Thanks for your patience as we continue restoring and improving our local roads.
