At the site, the existing 2.5m high gabion (wire cages filled with rocks) retaining wall to the East has been damaged by a landslide. The lower part of the wall is sagging, but the upper parts are still holding up.

To fix this, a temporary wall will be built to support Snobs Creek Road while a 40m section of the damaged wall is removed. After that, rocks will be added and packed down, and the road and barriers will be repaired.

Snobs Creek Road will stay open to the public, but there will be weight limits during the works.

The funding of these works is from the Department of Transport and Planning through its Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA)
