The Buxton CFA (Country Fire Authority) is a 100% volunteer, all-hazards fire brigade serving Buxton, Marysville, and the wider Triangle community in Victoria. Established in 1943, the brigade is dedicated to protecting lives, property and the environment through emergency response, bushfire and structural firefighting, community safety education and fire prevention.
Its members are trained to respond to a wide range of emergencies, working alongside other emergency services and deploying locally, statewide and interstate when required. Beyond emergency response, Buxton CFA plays an important role in community engagement, preparedness, fundraising and supporting local residents. The brigade is built on a strong tradition of volunteer service, teamwork and community spirit.
