Are you interested in making change in your community? Council is pleased to announce our community leadership program as part of our Community Capacity Building Program. This is a 12-week journey into leadership that’s practical, people-centered, and grounded in community. It’s not about titles or positions – it’s about discovering your strengths, connecting with others, and learning how to make good things happen together.

This program starts in January 2026 and has fortnightly sessions on Tuesdays from 5.30pm - 8.30pm over three months alternating between online and in person.

Event description: Join us in this 12-week journey into leadership that’s practical, people-cantered, and grounded in community. It’s not about titles or positions –it’s about discovering your strengths, connecting with others, and learning how to make good things happen together. We will specifically explore strengths in yourself, your community and practice participatory leadership to activate ideas and build stronger leaders in our communities.
Who Should Attend: We welcome community members from all organisations and backgrounds to participate in this event. leadership doesn’t belong to a select few - it belongs to all of us. This program is about unlocking everyday leadership, strengthening connections, and creating change that lasts.
