Recovering together as a community

DFFH Event (1).png

Members of Murrindindi Shire are invited to come together for an evening of connection, conversation and practical support as we approach six months on from the January fires, to explore simple ways to support each other as recovery continues.

The event will open with a panel discussion from community recovery experts Anne Leadbeater, Warren Davies, Michael Gordon and psychologist Michelle Roberts. Together, they will unpack the pressures of recovery, and offer practical strategies for managing stress, looking out for family and neighbours, and navigating available support.

Following the panel, everyone is invited to stay for a light meal. Coming together has always been part of how this community looks after one another, and this gathering is designed to give people space to talk, listen and feel supported.

The panel discussion will also be livestreamed and recorded for anyone unable to attend in person and a light meal and conversation is to follow.

You can register to attend the event here.
