Council is helping to address housing shortages for key workers. We recognise that providing new housing is essential for supporting the local economy, securing jobs, and sustaining businesses in the region.

With funding secured through the Victorian Government’s Regional Worker Accommodation Fund, we are building dwellings with a total of 33 bedrooms dedicated to key worker accommodation on two sites in Eildon: 10 Eighth and 18 Twenty-First Streets. This initiative will provide good quality housing, allowing key workers to live and thrive within our community.

To enable the quick timeframes for project completion under the grant requirements, the houses will be constructed off-site.
