Murrindindi Library Service is pleased to offer free access to ancestry.com.au at the Alexandra, Kinglake and Yea Libraries. A link will not work other than on Library computers.

Trove

When researching anything to do with the history of your family, Trove’s newspaper archives are a good place to start.  Murrindindi Library staff can assist you with finding the following historical newspapers relevant to early settlements within the Shire of Murrindindi:

  • Alexandra and Yea Standard (1877 - 1949)
  • Yea Chronicle (1891 - 1920)
  • Healesville Guardian (1893 - 1954)

New Technologies

As a part of our ongoing commitment to provide free public access to all aspects of learning, knowledge, information and just plain fun, we are pleased to be able to offer new technologies for working and playing.

We have a set of iPads available for in-house use in all our libraries, and an Amazon Kindle is also available for you to test-drive.

If you would like a guided tour of these devices please contact your local branch to make an appointment. Click here for your local branch

The Kindle is stored at the Alexandra Library, so if you would like to access it in another branch please contact Alexandra Library HQ on (03) 5772 0333 and we will arrange delivery to your local branch.
