Swimming Pool or Spa Registration

Building Regulations 2018 – Regulation 147P (1) – Form 22

The Victorian Government requires all swimming pools and spas in Victoria to be registered, inspected and certified on a regular basis.

Property owners are responsible for registering their pools and spas with their municipal council, arranging for inspections of safety barriers and to correct any non-compliance issues reported through the inspection process.

Registration fee $32.30 (GST exempt) is applicable to each registration. When you submit your form we will send you an invoice for payment.

Please provide copies of any relevant building permit if available, and/or any other documentation that provides evidence of when the swimming pool or spa was constructed.

If you're not sure when your pool or spa was constructed, Council can search its records for an approximate date of construction. Please note that this will incur a search fee of $47.95.
