Clean Up Australia Day 2024 Wrap-up!

Council would like to thank everyone who participated in this year’s Clean Up Australia Day throughout Murrindindi Shire! Your efforts have made a significant impact on our local environment. Here’s a summary of our Council staff cleanup activities:
Sites Visited:
- Acheron Cutting
- Mt Pleasant Road
- Binns McCrae’s Camping Ground
Items Collected included:
- 7 Rubbish Bags
- 4 Recycling Bags
- 12 Tyres (most with rims)
- 5 mattresses (one with base)
Some of the more unusual items included a car radiator, a car seat, large TV, blankets and rugs.
Unfortunately, we didn’t weigh the collected items this year, so we’re uncertain of the total weight. But remember, every piece picked up contributes to a cleaner and healthier environment!
