Flood Waste Disposal

If you have been impacted by recent flooding and have flood waste to dispose of, including household waste and green waste, please contact Council’s Waste team on (03) 5772 0333 or email customer@murrindindi.vic.gov.au

Our Waste team will provide you with further instructions on how you can dispose of flood waste at our Resource Recovery Centres. We may ask you to provide photos of the waste and a copy of your driver's license, to support our application for funding support from the State Government following the flood events.

Please note, we are receiving a high number of requests. If you can’t speak to someone in our Waste team straight away, your request will be prioritised and someone will follow up with you as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Please note that used sandbags may contain contaminants from floodwaters and should only be disposed of at our Resource Recovery Centres, where they will be accepted free of charge.
